Memoona Abdul Ghaffar

Memoona was a highly ambitious girl and a brilliant student. She wanted to touch the sky. She was in 8th class when the dark clouds started wandering over her life. An incident caused Memoona to suffer in the most awful way. Memoona’s brother had a fight with the community boys. This led to the horrible incident while she was out with her brother on an outing. A gang of neighborhood boys threw acid on her face. The liquid splashed and in the next moment the flesh from her face, neck and arms melted. One eye was also lost. She was registered in 2013 and DSF immediately arranged her checkup and eventually a series of surgical operations followed. Alongside, DSF helped her to complete her studies. She passed the matriculation examination and completed a computer course. DSF further arranged her placement in Indus Hospital Karachi where she studied to become a qualified nurse. She is now working as a professional nurse in a well reputed Hospital in Karachi in the burn patients unit. Having herself undergone the pain, she fully understands the problems of the patients and is serving her duties whole heartedly.
