Humaira Naveed a young woman from Muzaffarabad, got registered with DSF in 2021. As the story unfolds, she developed an argument with a neighborhood lady on a seemingly small issue, which unfortunately culminated into a serious offence of throwing acid, that left her with severe burns and shattered her life. DSF stepped in to provide comprehensive support and required surgeries were performed. In addition to medical interventions, DSF recognized the importance of rehabilitation and empowerment and Humaira, was given the opportunity to pursue the Assistant Program in Hair, Makeup, and Skin Aesthetics. This was a pathway to reclaiming her life with dignity and building a future with new skills and confidence.
