Ahmer Iqbal, a resident of Karachi, was engaged to a girl from his neighborhood. Despite persistent pressure from another boy who was interested in the same girl, Ahmer remained steadfast in his decision to marry her.
On the day of his wedding, he went out to purchase a few last-minute items. Little did he know that this seemingly ordinary errand would change his life forever. While Ahmer was at the market, his malicious enemy who had been pressuring him for months, proached Ahmer and threw acid on him. The attack was brutal and left Ahmer severely injured, with life-altering burns.
The incident shocked the community and highlighted the devastating consequences of acid violence. Ahmer got registered in 2016. DSF took the total responsibility for his complete recovery.
